The first video that I picked is about constructing angles. This video helped me learn how to construct angles using a compass and a protractor. Being a teacher does not mean that you know everything, and this is one piece of evidence. Last month, we worked on creating or constructing angles, and honestly, I did not know how. Therefore, I had to look at images and videos to help me understand the techniques for creating angles. In the video, I looked at the steps for constructing 90-degree angles and 45-degree angles. I can say that if I did not look at the video, I would not be able to deliver or teach the students to form angles using the two tools.
In reading, one of our SLOs was using context clues to find the meaning of unfamiliar words. Some of my students did not get the idea of using context clues to find the meaning of unknown words and I can also tell that these students are used to using the dictionary to familiarize themselves with the new word. They did not know how to use context clues even though I explained and gave examples. So, I decided to give them visuals since visuals are one way that I learned best, and I think that it can also help most of my students.
